How Extract Pages works
Extracting pages is the opposite of removing pages — you specify what to keep, and everything else is discarded. The result is a brand-new PDF containing only your selected pages, in the order you listed them. This makes it easy to reorder while extracting: list "5, 1, 3" and you get a PDF with the original page 5 first, then page 1, then page 3.
Behind the scenes we copy each selected page object into a fresh PDF, carrying along the page's text, fonts, images, annotations, and form fields. We do not re-render or recompress anything, so the extracted pages are identical in quality and file size to the originals.
Common scenarios: a 200-page contract where you only need to share the signature page; a textbook PDF where a student wants just the assigned chapter; an invoice PDF that arrived bundled with five other documents; a long report where one section is going to be reviewed separately. Pulling out the relevant pages keeps file sizes small and protects the privacy of everything else in the document.
This tool pairs naturally with Compress PDF (to shrink the result further), Merge PDF (to combine extracts from multiple sources), and Watermark PDF (to mark the extract as "Confidential" or "Draft" before sharing).
