2. Description of Service

SwitchPDF provides free online tools for converting, editing, and managing PDF and document files. Our tools include PDF merging, splitting, compression, format conversion, OCR, and more. No account or registration is required.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SwitchPDF only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
  • Attempt to overwhelm the service through automated scripts, bots, or excessive requests.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to exploit the service or its API.
  • Use the service to process classified, restricted, or government-protected documents if prohibited by applicable law.

4. File Handling & Privacy

  • Files you upload are processed on our servers solely to perform the requested operation.
  • All uploaded and output files are automatically deleted within 15 minutes.
  • We do not read, store, sell, or share the contents of your files.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any files you upload. SwitchPDF does not claim any rights over your content. The SwitchPDF name, logo, and website design are the property of SwitchPDF and may not be copied or reused without permission.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep SwitchPDF available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

SwitchPDF is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or damage resulting from the use of our tools.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of file conversions.
  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero, as the service is free).

8. Third-Party Services

SwitchPDF uses third-party services including Google AdSense for advertising and Vercel/Render for hosting. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access for all users, we enforce rate limits on API usage. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling of your requests. Repeated or intentional abuse may result in permanent blocking.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of SwitchPDF after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
